Magnolia Regional Health Center (MRHC) in Corinth provides a full range of expert health-care services for Alcorn County and five surrounding counties in northeast Mississippi, employing approximately 1,200 health-care professionals and other personnel.

Magnolia Regional Health Center

In 2006 the MRHC hospital was named a Thomson Top 100 Hospital. The surgery department performs nearly 10,000 outpatient and inpatient surgeries annually.

Since its founding in 1965, MRHC has engaged in a continual process of expansion and renovation. Some of the more significant additions and improvements include

  • the new Magnolia Regional Heart & Vascular Center
  • the new Cancer Center at Magnolia, providing radiation and medical oncology in one location
  • a newly renovated emergency department
  • a 64-slice CT scanner in the radiology unit
  • radiation oncology capabilities (including IMRT)
  • a women’s health services unit
  • a cardiac rehabilitation area.

Home Health Care and Hospice Services

The Magnolia Regional Health Center provides home nursing care, health technicians, and specialized therapy to eight Mississippi counties and two counties in Tennessee.

Hospice care services include nursing services, access to social workers and clergy, and volunteers to help with daily tasks.

Rural Health Services

To reach the population in rural locations, the center operates two rural health clinics:

  • Medistat Rural Health Clinic at 701 Alcorn Drive, just north of the main hospital campus
  • The Family Clinic in Rienzi, Mississippi, about 15 miles from the hospital.

When highly specialized or complex treatment is needed, Alcorn County residents can depend on two nationally respected medical centers within a few hours’ drive.
